I bought my first pair of insulated/waterproof Chippewa’s this week. Going to wear them through the upcoming New England winter, and hopefully many more. If they live up to their name I’ll be buying a pair of the Engineer style for motorcycle riding next Spring.

Got a pair of 6″ arctic 50′s at the beginning of November and all I can say is wow! I do snowplowing and often have to get out of the truck and shovel walks and stairs. These boots have kept my feet toasty warm and dry in the three storms we’ve had so far. Already know I love these boots!!

@brtn15 – Hi, I got lucky. Amazon dot com had 4 pair in various sizes and I was lucky enough that they had my size (mens size 6E). You won’t be disappointed, I’ve been wearing them in every snowstorm here in New England and am more than pleased.

@sporty04 – Thanks! My brother in law has had one pair of of the Arctic -50′s since 2005. He just bought a second pair because the first have no tread left. He wears them year round though, so i guess five and a half years year round wear isn’t bad.
